JAMB 2018: You Don't Need a JAMB Profile On JAMB CAPS Portal To Accept 2018 Admission

Once you accept the admission offered you then you admission door is closed for that year.

What Should I do If I See Not Admitted In My Caps Portal/Market Place And I Accept The Admission Status
If you see ''not admitted yet'' in your Caps market place it means your school hasn’t started giving admission and all you have to do is close the page and keep checking back. Don’t click on the accept admission TAB.
By the time your school of choice releases her admission list, you will not only see the “ACCEPT” icon but also a ‘DECLINE’ icon . You are enjoined not to click on the ‘ACCEPT’ icon until you receive an admission notification from your institution of choice.

If you mistakenly accepted admission when you have not been offered admission by any school yet then I don’t think that would be an issue.

The main issue is when you have been offered admission in a particular school already and you accepted it. It then means that your door of admission for that year has closed.

  2. Yes Ibrahim, Thats not an Issue. Clicking Accept means you'll not be considered for Admission Into any other Institution apart from the One you accepted.

JAMB seleced you as one of the preffered candidate into that Institution you accepted. Since you've clicked "Yes" now. Expect your name on the Admission List of your preffered Institution.

You're very safe. Goodluck in your academic pursuits.

  3. Mine is telling me admission in progress, check back later and my name actually came out in my school Merit list(Unilag).. I don't understand what is means

  4. Once you get "Admission In Progress, Please check back later". This means JAMB has not yet gotten your name or they are yet to receive your name from UNILAG.

UNILAG's Merit list as you know has been withdrawn, Definately when they re-release it again. It will be updated and your name will be included on JAMB's Database.

    1. Rejection Means you don't want to accept the Admission of the Institution in which Jamb has considered you for.

What you need to do is to wait for the Institution to complerly release thee admission lists, If they have released their admission list and you have been admitted already, You are safe.

    2. You don't have to be scared. Once you have accepted the admission, Jamb automatically saves the information.

Then when you check later, its always blank. Dont be scared. They've saved the data, Just expect the next admission list of your first choice institution. Goodluck

    1. You can't print your admission letrr for now. You'll continue to see "No admission Given Yet" because either the school you applied into has not uploaded all their lists or because the school you applied into hasn't sent your name to JAMB.

You will have to wait till the institution you applied into gives you admission. After you've been admitted, you'll be able to print your admission letter.
