According to a close source heads may roll in the ministry and other concerned agencies of the government as preliminary investigation on the allegations as contained in the petition had indicated culpability of some officials of the affected parastatal.

According to the source, the Minister and his Minister of State counterpart, Prof. Anthony Anwukah, had found contents of the books morally repugnant, and prepared to sanction any official or officials of either the ministry or any agency of government found to be responsible for the ‘costly’ error.
The source said: “I can confirm to you that the Minister has received the petition and he is very angry about the development.

You know that the Minister is a strong Muslim and his deputy, Prof. Anwukah is a knight in the church. So, they do not joke with anything immoral.

“I can assure you that jobs of anybody indicted may be on the line if care is not taken. It is a serious matter because the Minister cannot understand how those glaring errors escaped the attention of the concerned officials who are meant to vet and recommend the books.”
